American University’s Study Abroad Program
Argentina: Universidad Católica Argentina, city: Buenos Aires – This program is designed for advanced Spanish language students who seek an independent study abroad program where they take classes in Spanish alongside local students directly enrolled in an Argentine University: Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina (UCA).
UCA is a private university located in the Puerto Madero neighborhood of Buenos Aires, one of the most cosmopolitan cities in Latin America. The university is fairly large with approximately 18,000 degree seeking students and it hosts about 200 international exchange students each term. Students that choose to study abroad at UCA have a wide range of courses in Spanish from which to choose. The University offers courses and degrees in: Economics, Commerce, Marketing, Business, Political Science, International Relations, Law, Engineering, Computer Science, Philosophy, Literature, History, Music and Musicology, Education, Journalism, Institutional Communications, Advertising, Agriculture and Theology.
In addition, students can take courses related to Latin American Studies themes in the “Programa de Estudios Latinoamericanos” (PEL) Program. These courses tend to have more international students than Argentine students in them. Many students will mix and match these courses so that their schedule is comprised of some PEL program courses and some regular UCA departmental courses.
All students will benefit from the required intensive Spanish language course that occurs during the first three weeks of the program on-site. The course covers intermediate and advanced level Spanish language topics and includes some extracurricular cultural activities throughout Buenos Aires that help introduce students to their new city. During the semester UCA also offers semester long courses of Spanish as a foreign language at the intermediate and advanced levels.

ইচ্ছে ছিল রাজা হব
